Sutphen Fire Truck Recall 21V580: Fuel Rail Leak Can Cause Fire in Diesel Fire Trucks

NHTSA campaign 21V580, reported July 29, 2021, 604 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes of the high pressure fuel rail assembly, which can allow diesel fuel to leak. If fuel leaks near an ignition source, the risk of a fire increases.

If you own a 2017 through 2020 Sutphen fire truck, contact Sutphen customer service at 1-614-889-1005 to confirm whether your vehicle is included. Dealers will inspect the fuel rail threads and fuel lines for damage and replace the fuel rail if necessary, free of charge.
