Xtreme Outdoors Mypod Recall 21V515: Trailer Shell Can Detach From Frame, Creating Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V515, reported July 7, 2021, 18 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The support bracket that secures the trailer shell to the frame may be insufficient. Over time, this could allow the shell to detach from the frame while the trailer is in use.

A detached trailer shell can create a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. Owners should stop using the trailer for travel until the recall repair is completed.

An authorized dealer will inspect the support bracket and replace the frame if necessary, at no cost to you. Owners who received the notification letter mailed July 16, 2021 can contact Xtreme Outdoors customer service at 1-740-788-9560.
