What this recall means for you
The Federal Certification label on certain 2021 travel trailers lists an incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) and axle rating. Because the label does not show the correct limits, the trailer could be loaded beyond what it is rated to carry.
An overloaded trailer increases the risk of a crash. Owners should not rely on the label to judge how much weight the trailer can safely carry.
The remedy is free: Heartland will mail replacement labels at no cost. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 9, 2021. To request a replacement label, contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
