Oshkosh S-Series Recall 21V482: Wrong ABS fuse may blow during braking, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 21V482, reported June 27, 2021, 897 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2019-2022 Oshkosh S-Series vehicles were built with a 10 amp fuse for the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) instead of the required 15 amp fuse. The undersized fuse can blow during an ABS braking event, which can disable the anti-lock function and increase the risk of a crash.

Oshkosh will provide owners with new 15 amp fuses, a new fuse label, and installation instructions at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 29, 2021.

If you own one of these vehicles, contact Oshkosh customer service at 1-888-686-7278 to arrange the free remedy, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
