- Problem
- Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021 East to West Entrada Class C Motorhomes. The federal placard incorrectly states that there are six seats equipped with seat belts when there are actually only four. As such, these motorhomes fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, " Tire selection and rims and motor home/recreation vehicle trailer load carrying capacity information for motor vehicles with a GVWR of more than 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds)."
- Risk
- Vehicle occupants may be unaware of the accurate number of seat belts, resulting in unsecured passengers and increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
- Remedy
- Forest River will provide a new federal placard, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 25, 2021. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664. Forest River's number for this recall is 504-1374.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2021 East to West Entrada Class C motorhomes have a federal placard that incorrectly states there are six seats equipped with seat belts. In fact, there are only four. The vehicles therefore do not meet the labeling requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 120.
The risk is that occupants may not know how many seat belts are actually available. Passengers could end up riding unrestrained, which increases the chance of injury in a crash.
Forest River, Inc. will provide a new federal placard at no cost. Owners who have not received the notification letter mailed June 25, 2021, can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-264-6664 and reference recall number 504-1374. Check your vehicle identification number for any other open recalls.
