Nissan Rogue Recall 21V474: Child Seat May Not Anchor Securely, Risking Injury

NHTSA campaign 21V474, reported June 24, 2021, 47,098 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles, the upper tether wires for the second-row child seat anchors may have been improperly welded to the seatback frame. As a result, a child seat may not be securely anchored, and the vehicle does not meet federal child restraint anchorage requirements.

An insecurely anchored child seat can move during a sudden stop or crash, which increases the risk of injury to the child riding in it.

Owners should contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 or take their vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealer. Dealers will inspect the rear seatbacks and replace them as needed, free of charge. Check your VIN for any open recalls on this vehicle.
