Cadillac SRX Recall 21V473: Loose Rear Suspension Link Can Cause Loss of Control

NHTSA campaign 21V473, reported June 24, 2021, 380,498 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A rear suspension toe link adjuster may not have been tightened properly at the factory, so the toe link can become loose. A loose toe link can separate from the vehicle and cause a loss of vehicle control, which raises the risk of a crash.

If your dashboard shows certain Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) warnings, or you notice unusual steering behavior while driving, do not drive the vehicle. Contact your dealer or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223 for guidance. The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will replace the adjustable toe link with a non-adjustable one at no charge. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
