- Risk
- A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will update the instrument cluster software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 6, 2021. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L62X-R.01.21.
- Notes
- Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
What this recall means for you
In temperatures below 41°F, the rearview camera may fail to show an image because of a software error in the infotainment system. Without the camera image, the driver has less view behind the vehicle, which can increase the risk of a crash. The vehicles also do not meet the federal rear visibility standard, FMVSS 111.
The remedy is a free software update to the instrument cluster, which an authorized dealer will perform at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed on August 6, 2021. If you have questions, you can contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276.
To check whether your vehicle has an open recall, look up your VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup or ask an authorized Lamborghini dealer to check it for you.
