Kzrv Connect Recall 21V460: Trailer Can Sway at Highway Speeds, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 21V460, reported June 18, 2021, 115 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers certain 2021 travel trailers whose tongue weight is too low. Too little downward force at the hitch can leave the trailer unstable when driving at highway speeds.

An unstable trailer can cause the tow vehicle to lose control, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own an affected trailer, do not wait to have it checked, and be cautious when towing at highway speeds until the repair is done.

Authorized dealers will increase the tongue weight by adding weight to the tongue or by moving the axles, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed August 12, 2021. You can contact KZRV customer service at 1-800-768-4016, ext. 154 or 153, referencing recall KZ_2021-04, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
