Trails West Sierra Recall 21V429: Stove Gas Leak Can Raise Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V429, reported June 4, 2021, 1 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers a trailer whose three-burner cooking stove may have a gas leak. The saddle valve securing bolt, which connects the stove's gas supply, may have been overtightened. That can damage the O-ring seal and let gas escape continuously.

A continuous gas leak can increase the risk of a fire. If you have a trailer with a Dometic three-burner stove, check whether it is covered by this recall, and do not use the stove if you smell gas or suspect a leak.

The recall remedy was a free kit of gaskets, washers, thread locker bolts, and two round orange labels, and according to the notice it was completed on June 4, 2021. To check your vehicle or confirm the remedy, contact Trails West customer service at 1-208-852-2200. You can also check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA's website.
