Sea-Doo Move I Extended 1500 Recall 21V420: Wheel Can Detach From Trailer Axle, Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V420, reported June 3, 2021, 220 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A welding defect in the wheel spindles of this trailer's axle means the welds can break, allowing a wheel to come off while the trailer is in motion.

A detached wheel can cause the trailer to lose control and significantly increases the risk of a crash. Owners are advised not to tow the trailer until the repair has been completed.

The remedy is free: an authorized dealer will replace the axle and reimburse transportation costs to get the trailer there. Owners who received the notification letter mailed June 4, 2021, can contact Bombardier customer service at 1-888-272-9222. You can also check your vehicle identification number for any open recalls.
