- Problem
- Great Dane Trailers (Great Dane) is recalling certain 2022 Champion trailers equipped with air disc brakes. The brake caliper mounting bolts may be insufficiently tightened, allowing the bolts to loosen.
- Risk
- Loose brake caliper mounting bolts can reduce brake effectiveness, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will inspect and tighten the caliper mounting bolts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 28, 2021. Owners may contact Great Dane customer service at 1-877-369-3493.

What this recall means for you
Certain 2022 Great Dane Champion trailers equipped with air disc brakes may have brake caliper mounting bolts that were not tightened enough. Over time, these bolts can loosen.
Loose caliper mounting bolts can reduce brake effectiveness, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own an affected trailer, have it checked as soon as possible.
The repair is free. Authorized dealers will inspect and tighten the caliper mounting bolts at no charge. Owners were notified by letter starting June 28, 2021, and you can contact Great Dane customer service at 1-877-369-3493. You can also check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
