Vanleigh Beacon Recall 21V355: Gas May Leak Into Coach from Water Heater, Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V355, reported May 14, 2021, 366 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain VanLeigh Beacon and Vilano motorhomes may have a water heater housing that was not properly sealed. This can allow liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to enter the coach interior.

Gas inside the coach increases the risk of a fire. Owners should stop using the water heater and contact an authorized dealer if they suspect a gas odor or any problem with the LPG system.

The repair is free at an authorized VanLeigh dealer, who will install a grommet so the sleeve faces out and secure the sleeves to the gas line with zip-ties. Owners can also call VanLeigh customer service at 1-662-612-4040 and should check their VIN for any open recalls.
