E-One Typhoon Recall 21V332: Diesel fuel leak can cause fire; free rail inspection

NHTSA campaign 21V332, reported May 11, 2021, 915 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain E-One fire trucks have a high pressure fuel rail where a sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes. This can let diesel fuel leak from the rail.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and not delay getting the vehicle checked.

An authorized dealer will inspect the fuel rail and replace it if necessary, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 28, 2021. You can contact E-One customer service at 1-352-237-1122, and check your vehicle's VIN for any open recalls.
