Airstream Globetrotter Recall 21V325: Overhead cabinet doors may detach and fall on occupants

NHTSA campaign 21V325, reported May 7, 2021, 168 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Airstream is recalling certain 2020 and 2021 Globetrotter travel trailers because the adhesive holding the overhead cabinet doors may fail. If the adhesive fails, a door can separate from the cabinet.

A detached cabinet door can fall on people inside the trailer, which increases the risk of injury. Owners should take this seriously and check whether their trailer is included in the recall.

The repair is free. Authorized Airstream dealers will inspect the overhead cabinet doors and replace them as needed at no charge. Owners who have questions can contact Airstream customer service at 1-877-596-6505 or 1-937-596-6111, extension 7401 or 7411. You can also check your VIN for open recalls.
