Blue Bird ALL American Recall 21V313: Fuel rail may leak, creating a fire risk

NHTSA campaign 21V313, reported May 4, 2021, 134 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Blue Bird All American buses have a high-pressure fuel rail assembly where the sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes. This can allow fuel to leak from the rail.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Owners should have their vehicle checked promptly.

Dealers will inspect the rail threads and fuel lines and replace the fuel rail as necessary, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 30, 2021. You can contact Blue Bird customer service at 1-478-822-2242. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your bus is affected.
