Tiffin Phaeton Recall 21V306: Diesel fuel leak can cause a fire in motorhomes

NHTSA campaign 21V306, reported April 30, 2021, 3,198 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Tiffin Bus and Phaeton motorhomes may have a sealing washer that does not seat correctly where the high pressure fuel rail assembly mounts. This can allow the fuel rail to leak diesel fuel.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. Owners should watch for signs of a fuel leak and contact Tiffin about this recall as soon as possible.

The repair is free. Tiffin will work with Cummins to inspect the fuel rail threads and will replace the fuel rail and fuel lines if damage is found. Owners can contact Tiffin customer service at 1-256-356-8661, and should also check their VIN for open recalls.
