Suzuki UH200 Recall 21V299: Speedometer May Fail, Hiding Your Speed and Raising Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 21V299, reported April 28, 2021, 270 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Corroded resistors in the speedometer assembly can cut power to the wheel speed sensor. When that happens, the speedometer and odometer stop displaying information, so the rider cannot see how fast the motorcycle is traveling.

Without a working speedometer, you may not know your speed, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected 2019 and 2020 Suzuki UH200 motorcycles should take this seriously and arrange the repair promptly.

An authorized Suzuki dealer will replace the speedometer assembly free of charge. You can also contact Suzuki customer service at 714-572-1490 or visit www.suzukicycles.com, and check your VIN for open recalls.
