- Problem
- Vermeer Manufacturing Company (Vermeer) is recalling certain 2015-2021 AX19 brush chipper trailers. A crack may develop in the undercarriage frame and cause the frame to bend.
- Risk
- A bent frame may cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- The remedy is still under development. Vermeer issued owners an interim notification letter on May 27, 2021. Owner notification letters were mailed on June 17, 2021. Owners may contact Vermeer customer service at 1-800-829-0051 ext. 7060. Vermeer's number for this recall is IK4078.

What this recall means for you
A crack may develop in the undercarriage frame of this brush chipper trailer. Over time, the cracked frame can bend, which may cause the trailer to lose control and increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy for this recall is still being developed. Owners were sent an interim notification letter on May 27, 2021, and owner notification letters were mailed on June 17, 2021.
