Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 Recall 21V231: Tailgate Side Spoilers May Detach From Vehicle

NHTSA campaign 21V231, reported April 1, 2021, 5,215 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some of these vehicles may have tailgate side spoilers that were not installed correctly, so the spoilers can come loose and detach while driving.

A detached spoiler can become a road hazard for other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash or injury.

Mercedes-Benz will notify owners, and authorized dealers will inspect the side spoilers and replace them if necessary, at no cost to you. Owner letters were mailed July 2, 2021. You can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 (recall number 2021050009), and you can check your VIN for any open recalls.
