Chevrolet Tahoe Recall 21V210: Rear center seat belt may be unreachable in a crash

NHTSA campaign 21V210, reported March 25, 2021, 5 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe vehicles may have a second-row center seat belt latch trapped beneath the trim bezel, making it inaccessible. A passenger seated in that position may not be able to buckle up, which does not meet federal occupant crash protection requirements.

Without a usable seat belt, a passenger in the second-row center faces a higher risk of injury in a crash. If you have a 2021 Tahoe, check whether the center rear seat belt can be easily reached and buckled.

General Motors will notify owners. Authorized dealers will remove the trim bezel, correctly position the seat belt latch plate, and reinstall the bezel at no cost. You can also contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020, and check your VIN for open recalls.
