Jayco Embark Recall 21V180: LP furnace hose may leak gas, creating fire or explosion risk

NHTSA campaign 21V180, reported March 16, 2021, 29 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The propane (LP) furnace hose in certain motorhomes may be routed incorrectly. This can restrict gas flow or cause the hose to chafe against nearby components, which may result in a gas leak.

A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of fire or explosion. Owners of affected vehicles should take this recall seriously.

The remedy is free. Dealers will remove the existing LP line and install a new extended gas manifold at no charge. Owners will be notified by Jayco, and can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137 (recall number 9903565). You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
