What this recall means for you
A brake light pressure switch in these vehicles may leak air when pressure is supplied to it. This can cause the internal electrical contacts to become jammed, so the brake lights may stay illuminated all the time or fail to light when the brakes are applied.
Either condition raises the risk of a crash, since other drivers may not see your braking or may be confused about when you are slowing down. If you own one of the affected vehicles, dealers will check the brake light switch's manufacturing date and replace the switch if needed, at no cost to you. You can also contact Crane Carrier customer service at 1-877-546-2537 for more information, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
