Hino NE8J Recall 21V146: Mirror Glass May Detach, Reducing Visibility

What this recall means for you

The mirror glass on certain vehicles may not be bonded properly to its carrier plate, so it can come loose while driving. A detached mirror can reduce the driver's view of the road or fall off and become a hazard to other drivers, both of which can raise the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will inspect the production date of the mirror and replace it if necessary. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 7, 2021. If you have questions, you can contact Hino customer service at 1-248-699-9390 and reference recall number M0340. This recall supersedes earlier NHTSA recall 19V-564.
