Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 Recall 21V102: Front Passenger Airbag May Deploy Unexpectedly

NHTSA campaign 21V102, reported February 22, 2021, 36 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A ground connection for the front passenger airbag may not be mounted properly. If it is loose or misplaced, the airbag could deploy without a crash.

An unexpected airbag deployment can injure a passenger sitting in the front passenger seat and can also raise the chance of a vehicle crash. Owners should take this seriously even if the vehicle seems to be working normally.

The manufacturer will notify owners by mail. Dealers will inspect the passenger airbag ground connection and correct it if needed, at no cost to you. You can also contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
