Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Recall 20V794: Front seat covers may burn too fast in a fire

NHTSA campaign 20V794, reported December 17, 2020, 66 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020 vehicles have front seats with climate-control features that are trimmed with a cloth called Dinamica. In a fire, this seat material can burn faster than federal flammability standards allow, which fails to meet FMVSS 302 for interior materials.

A seat cover that burns too quickly raises the risk of injury if a fire occurs inside the vehicle. Owners should take this recall seriously and have the work completed as soon as possible.

The repair is free. Dealers will replace the front seat covers at no cost. Land Rover will notify affected owners, but you can also contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837 and check your VIN for open recalls.
