Nissan Titan Recall 20V759: Exposed Engine Wire Can Short and Cause Fire or Stall

NHTSA campaign 20V759, reported December 8, 2020, 7,583 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2020 Nissan Titan and Titan XD pickups may have an engine wiring harness with a wire that is not fully insulated. If that exposed wire touches another wire, it can cause an electrical short or arcing. A short can disrupt the engine, transmission, or fuel pump, which raises the risk of the engine stalling and a crash. Arcing or a short can also start a fire.

Nissan will notify affected owners. An authorized Nissan dealer will inspect the engine wiring harness and replace it if needed, at no charge to you. Nissan customer service can be reached at 1-800-647-7261.

You can also check whether your vehicle has any open recalls by entering its VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup site or on Nissan's website. If your truck is listed, contact a dealer to schedule the free repair.
