Winnebago Revel Recall 20V703: Power bed motor can fail and let the bed drop suddenly

NHTSA campaign 20V703, reported November 13, 2020, 242 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A power bed motor in certain motorhomes may suffer an internal gear failure. When this happens, the bed can extend before the safety strap engages, so it may fall unexpectedly.

A bed that falls unexpectedly raises the risk of injury or death. Owners should stop using the power bed feature and avoid being under or near the bed while it is moving until the repair is done.

The replacement of the power bed motor is free at an authorized dealer. Winnebago will notify owners, and you can also contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your motorhome is affected.
