Nissan Altima Recall 20V685: Tires may suddenly lose air or tread, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 20V685, reported November 5, 2020, 2,214 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain tires on these vehicles may have been over cured during manufacturing. Over cured tires can develop a sidewall break that causes a sudden loss of air, or the tread can separate from the tire. Both conditions increase the risk of a crash.

Nissan will notify owners of affected vehicles. Dealers will inspect the tires to determine whether they are among the affected units and will replace them as needed, at no cost to the owner. Owners can also contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-8677669 and reference recall number PC765.

To check whether your vehicle has any open recalls, enter your VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup site or at a Nissan dealer.
