Keystone Hideout Recall 20V606: Trailer Axle and Tires May Be Undersized, Risking Crash

NHTSA campaign 20V606, reported October 2, 2020, 10 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020 Keystone Hideout trailers were built with 3,500-pound axles and ST205/75R14D tires and rims instead of the 4,400-pound axles and ST225/75R15D tires and rims listed on the Federal Identification Tag. The mismatch means the trailer may be overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash.

The free remedy is for an authorized dealer to replace the incorrect axle, tires, and rims with a 4,400-pound axle, ST225/75R15D tires, and matching rims. Owners will be notified by Keystone, but you can also contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369 (recall number 20-388). The recall began October 16, 2020.

If you own a 2020 Hideout trailer, check the Federal Identification Tag and your vehicle identification number for open recalls, and schedule the repair as soon as possible.
