Jayco Travel Trailer JAY Feather Recall 20V602: Incorrect Tire and Axle Load Labels Could Lead to Overloading

NHTSA campaign 20V602, reported October 1, 2020, 3 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2021 Jay Feather travel trailers may have incorrect tire size and Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) information on their tire and certification labels. The labels may not accurately show the trailer's load limits, so the trailer could end up carrying more weight than it is rated for.

An overloaded trailer has an increased risk of a crash. Owners should check the tire and certification labels on their trailer and compare them with the corrected labels the manufacturer has mailed out.

Jayco has mailed corrected labels to owners, who may replace the labels themselves or have the repair done at an authorized dealership at no cost. For questions, contact Jayco customer service at 1-617-776-0344 and reference recall number 9901523. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
