- Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
What this recall means for you
Certain 2020-2021 travel trailers have lag bolts that are too small for the job. The bolts can pull through the floor, allowing the floor to separate from the trailer frame. If the body is no longer secured to the frame, it can shift or come loose, which increases the risk of a crash, injury, or death.
The manufacturer will notify affected owners. An authorized dealer will secure the floor to the frame using 3/8-inch by 2-inch bolts with washers and a lock nut. The repair is free of charge. The recall began October 2, 2020.
If you own an affected trailer, contact Braxton customer service at 1-260-768-7932 to confirm eligibility and schedule the repair. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
