Heartland Cyclone Recall 20V521: Trailer Front Landing Legs Can Buckle and Collapse

NHTSA campaign 20V521, reported August 28, 2020, 1,409 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Heartland trailers have insufficient bracing on the front landing legs. While the trailer is parked, these legs may buckle and collapse, causing the trailer to drop suddenly.

A sudden drop can cause property damage, serious injury, or death to anyone nearby. Owners should be especially careful around the front of the trailer when it is parked on its landing legs.

Heartland will notify affected owners, and an authorized dealer will install a jack bracket to reinforce the landing legs at no cost. Owners can contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032, and should check their VIN for open recalls.
