Toyota Supra Recall 20V516: Headlights Can Shift Sideways, Risking Glare or Poor Visibility

NHTSA campaign 20V516, reported August 27, 2020, 4,265 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain headlamps on these vehicles can be adjusted horizontally, which means they do not fully meet federal lighting safety requirements. If the headlamps are moved sideways, oncoming drivers may be dazzled by extra glare, or the driver may see the road less well at night. Either problem can raise the risk of a crash.

The repair is free. Dealers will inspect the headlamp vertical and horizontal adjustment plugs and correct them as needed. Owners of BMW vehicles can call BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417, and Toyota owners can call 1-888-270-9371. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
