Vac-Tron HTV 373 PTO Recall 20V510: Rear extension can let cars slide underneath in a crash

What this recall means for you

These vacuum trucks have a rear extremity that extends more than 24 inches behind the rear impact guard. In a rear-end collision, a passenger vehicle could travel under the rear of the truck, which raises the risk of serious injury to its occupants.

The manufacturer will notify owners, and authorized dealers will install a remedy kit to keep vehicles from going under the truck in a crash. The kit and installation are free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 5, 2022.
