What this recall means for you
The instrument panel brightness on these motorhomes cannot be adjusted. Because the display can be too bright, it may cause glare while driving at night. The vehicles therefore do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 101, which covers controls and displays.
Glare can reduce the driver's view of the road, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners should be careful when driving at night and take extra care if the instrument panel seems too bright.
Newmar will notify owners, and dealers will update the software and processor as needed at no cost. The recall began October 21, 2020. You can contact Newmar customer service at 1-800-731-8300, and you should check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
