Fleetwood Pace Arrow Recall 20V442: Battery bracket can short circuit and cause fire

NHTSA campaign 20V442, reported July 29, 2020, 155 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The auxiliary batteries inside the interior step compartment were held in place by a metal hold-down bracket fastened with carriage bolts and standard nuts. Over time, this hardware can loosen, allowing the bracket to shift and touch the battery terminals.

If the bracket contacts a battery terminal, it can cause a short circuit, which increases the risk of a fire. Owners should watch for any sign of an electrical problem with the motorhome and contact an authorized dealer promptly if they have concerns.

The repair is free. REV Recreation Group will notify owners, and dealers will install replacement battery hold-down mounting hardware at no charge. Owners can contact REV customer service at 1-800-509-3417 (recall number 200728REV) and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls.
