Thor Motor Coach Sequence Recall 20V424: Dinette Seat Belts Too Short to Buckle; Crash Injury Risk

NHTSA campaign 20V424, reported July 22, 2020, 49 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The dinette booth seat belts in these motorhomes may be too short, so some occupants cannot use them. The vehicles do not meet federal seat belt and occupant crash protection standards.

If a seat belt cannot be used, an occupant is less protected in a crash and faces a higher risk of injury. Owners should not assume the dinette belts will fit them; check whether they can fully buckle before driving.

The remedy is free. Authorized Thor Motor Coach dealers will replace the 18-inch seat belt tether with a 24-inch tether on both sides of the dinette booth. Owners can contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-855-2867 and reference recall number RC000198. Also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
