Fccc XCM Recall 20V404: Rear Lights May Fail, Raising Crash Risk

What this recall means for you

Certain Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation recreation vehicle chassis may have a rear-mounted Power Distribution Module (PDM) that was damaged during manufacturing. If the PDM is affected, the rear marker lights, brake lights, or turn signals may not work.

Non-functioning exterior lights can make it harder for other drivers to see your vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified by Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), and an interim notification was already sent on September 4, 2020. The repair is free. Dealers will replace the PDM at no cost to you. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls and schedule the repair with an authorized dealer.
