Gulf Stream Super-Lite Recall 20V402: Trailer Axle May Puncture Waste Tank, Spilling Contents on Road

NHTSA campaign 20V402, reported July 13, 2020, 22 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

When the black water holding tank is full, there may not be enough clearance between the rear axle and the tank. Contact between the axle and the tank can cause a hole, and the tank contents can spill onto the roadway, which increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy is free. Authorized dealers will replace the axle with a drop axle that provides more clearance between the top of the axle tube and the black water holding tank. Gulf Stream will notify owners directly. If you have questions, you can contact Gulf Stream customer service at 1-800-289-8787. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
