Jayco Melbourne Recall 20V327: Manual May Misdescribe Auto-P Parking; Rollaway Crash Risk

What this recall means for you

This recall covers certain 2019-2020 Entegra Qwest and 2019-2021 Jayco Melbourne and Melbourne Prestige Class C motorhomes built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The Operator's Manual may not contain the correct information about how the automatic parking function, called Auto-P, works.

If a driver relies on the Auto-P function as the manual describes it, the vehicle may roll away or move unexpectedly, which raises the risk of a crash.

Jayco will notify owners, and Mercedes-Benz or Freightliner Sprinter dealers will provide a correct description of the Auto-P function for the Operator's Manual at no cost. Owners can contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-517-9137 or Sprinter service at 1-877-762-8267, and the corrected booklet is also available online free of charge. Check your VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is affected.
