Arcimoto FUV Recall 20V310: Brake hoses may not meet safety standards, risking longer stopping distances

NHTSA campaign 20V310, reported May 27, 2020, 98 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The hydraulic brake hose assemblies on these vehicles lack the required DOT marking and may fail constriction testing, meaning they do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 106 for brake hoses.

Because non-compliant brake hoses may lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, the risk of a crash is increased. Owners should take this recall seriously and have it addressed promptly.

Arcimoto will notify owners and replace the hydraulic brake hose assemblies free of charge using factory technicians. Owners can contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293, and you can check your VIN for any open recalls.
