What this recall means for you
The forward-looking camera on certain 2020 Mustangs may be misaligned with the vehicle. When this happens, safety features that depend on the camera, including Pre-Collision Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping System, Driver Alert, and Auto High Beam Control, may not work as intended.
The danger is that a driver may not realize these features are not working properly and may keep relying on them. That increases the risk of a crash or injury, because the car may not warn you of a hazard or brake for you when it should.
Ford will notify owners, and an authorized dealer will perform the Lane Departure Warning System camera alignment procedure free of charge. Contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 (Ford recall number 20S26), and check your VIN for open recalls.
