Triple E Unity Recall 20V299: Locked Utility Latch Can Block Propane Shutoff Valve

NHTSA campaign 20V299, reported May 22, 2020, 61 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2020 Triple E Unity travel trailers may have a utility compartment latch that can rotate and lock while the trailer is moving. When the compartment is locked, owners cannot reach the liquid propane shutoff valve.

If a propane leak occurs at the regulator and the valve cannot be reached, the risk of fire increases in the presence of an ignition source. Owners should not wait to act on this recall.

Triple E will notify owners, and authorized dealers will repair the utility compartment latch mechanism free of charge. Owners can contact Triple E customer service at 1-877-992-9906, referencing recall number CA#9681-1, and should check their vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
