Thor Motor Coach Four Winds Recall 20V178: Rear axle fluid may run low, risking driveshaft separation

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020 and 2021 Thor Motor Coach motorhomes built on a Ford chassis may have an insufficient amount of fluid in the rear axle differential. This can lead to failure of the rear axle assembly and separation of the driveshaft. If the driveshaft separates, the vehicle can lose drive, which increases the risk of a crash. Separately, if the transmission is left in Park without the parking brake applied, the vehicle can move unintentionally, increasing the risk of injury or a crash.

The repair is free. Ford or Lincoln dealers will inspect the rear axle differential fluid level and adjust it, or replace the rear axle if needed. Ford will notify affected owners.
