Tremcar 406 Semi-Trailer Recall 20V159: Brake actuator washers may crack, weakening braking

NHTSA campaign 20V159, reported March 19, 2020, 47 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2018-2020 Tremcar semi-trailers have brake actuator mounting washers that may fracture. If a washer breaks, the brake actuator can loosen and braking performance may be reduced.

Reduced braking means the trailer may need a longer distance to stop, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should take this seriously and arrange the repair promptly.

Tremcar will notify affected owners. TSE Brakes will supply replacement brake actuator mounting washers and nuts at no cost. To get help, contact Tremcar customer service at 1-800-363-2158, and check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
