Thor Motor Coach Tellaro Recall 20V148: Gear Shifter Cable Can Detach, Risking Unintended Movement

NHTSA campaign 20V148, reported March 17, 2020, 227 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The transmission shifter cable in certain motorhomes may separate and disconnect from the transmission. When this happens, the vehicle may not shift into the gear the driver selects, and the gear shift lever may not match the transmission's actual gear. The driver may not realize what gear the vehicle is in, so unintended vehicle movement can occur, which increases the risk of a crash.

The free repair is to replace the transmission shift cable at an authorized dealer. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners of this recall. If you own an affected vehicle, you can also contact Thor Motor Coach customer service at 1-877-855-2867, referencing recall number RC000185.
