What this recall means for you
The certification label on certain trailers shows an incorrect gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and axle rating. Because the label does not match the trailer's true capacity, the trailer could be loaded beyond what its axles can safely carry.
An overloaded trailer can suffer axle failure, which increases the risk of a crash. If you own a trailer affected by this recall, avoid exceeding the weight limits you can verify and consider having the load checked before traveling.
The manufacturer, Heartland Recreational Vehicles, LLC, will notify owners and send corrected replacement labels at no cost. You can contact Heartland customer service at 1-877-262-8032. You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for any open recalls.
