What this recall means for you
Some 2020 Honda Passport and Pilot vehicles may have a certification label printed with ink that can be wiped away with a solvent. Rubbing it off would remove the Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR) and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) information.
Without that label, a driver may not be able to tell how much weight the vehicle and its axles are rated to carry. This could lead to the vehicle being overloaded, which increases the risk of a crash.
Honda will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the certification label free of charge. The recall began March 24, 2020. You can contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 (Honda recall number B6T), and you can check your VIN for open recalls on your vehicle.
