Forest River Georgetown Recall 20V030: Propane line can melt against fridge burner, causing leak and fire

NHTSA campaign 20V030, reported January 20, 2020, 164 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rubber propane (LP) gas line in certain motorhomes may have been routed against the metal burner chamber of the refrigerator. Over time, contact with the burner assembly can cause the hose to melt.

A melted LP line can leak gas and increase the risk of fire. Owners should take this recall seriously and avoid operating the refrigerator's gas burner until the repair is completed, if the dealer advises it.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer, who will reroute the LP line away from the burner chamber. Forest River will notify affected owners, and you can contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-206-7600 (recall number 68-1125).
